Hey all. So I've got a job tomorrow where I'm going to be using some 320LR also called carpenter 20. I've never used this stuff before and would like some advice and opinions. Job will be welding 5 126" long seams on the ID of a cone, tapered from 95 1/4" ID to 16" OD at the other end. Material is 1/4" alloy 20 or UNS 8020 if you will. Wire is 0.045 hardwire, running on GMAW-P. Machine being used is a new miller invision 450 mpa. One important note, is the interior is polished and brushed and cannot be damaged in any way. I fit it up but we all know tacking and welding are two different things. Thanks |
