Alright, I've been taking welding courses at college and have learned a lot about carbon, stainless, and aluminum. But I'd like to learn more about those three plus others, including titanium. What I'd really like is a book or website that gets deeper into the metal type and what type of filler metal would be best to use, and a little bit about the alloys of different grades of the metal (like stainless). I don't want to be a metallurgist, looking into the exact amounts of different metals in an alloy and designing an alloy. No, I just want to know enough so that when I'm designing something I'll have a better knowledge of what is best to use strength-wise and of course costs...Yes, I could come here every time I have a project and say "I wanna build this, what would you do?" But I don't wanna do that. Not that there's anything "wrong" with doing that, no offense to those that might do that. But I'm going to make welding my living, not my hobby. I want to go into the off-road motorsports industry to make my company very different from the others like ProArmor, DG, and even the vehicle manufacturers like Honda, Yamaha, etc. (making some products for their vehicles.) What I'm basically saying is in the future I don't want to "rely" on the awesome people here, using them as a free design team... Thanks for any input!John
