My son was playing with a 2 pound spool of Hobart solid-core MIG wire on the workbenck and dropped it on the concrete floor. Here's how it looked after the impact:I can sell it for scrap, try to re-spool it and use a bolt to hold the spool together, or try to re-spool it onto another good spool. I'm thinking that for $10 it's not worth the time and I should just take it to the scrap yard. By the time I get done respooling it, it could be pretty scratched up and I'd hate to ruin the liner sending this stuff down the liner.Milermatic 211

Reply:scrap yards can be picky about wire like that, mine wont take it. Gets wound up in the shredder.Its only a 2lb spool, just buy another one.Have we all gone mad?
