Hi All, Has anyone built or seen drawings of a lift for a snowmobile or atv lift? I want to make one just was wondering of any pros or cons that anyone has had. Thanks Dale
Reply:Found these plans a few years ago and made one. I ran mine up and down with an air impact. I recently sold it to a guy in Michigan (1200 miles away) I installed a two post auto lift and use it to lift sleds. I remember the measurements being pretty hard to read I might have a CAD file at home too I can post if I remember. As for pros and cons I would make it about an inch wider if your sleds are 16" tracksthis one fits but was tight. TB Attached Images
Reply:I just built one Ill post pics. I did the same design but my mesurements were different because of my jack was longer than the one they have in the print.
Reply:dichdoc,Thanks for the drawings and mods about the width I have to measure my tracks. barefooter, Thanks post some pics let me know if you would in case I miss them. I seen a picture of one about a month ago a guy showed me, It had a jack that appeared longer then the one in dichdocs drawing looked about 3ft or so?? Made a sketch of it but no measurements and such like in the drawings. Thanx guys Dale
Reply:this is a quick pic before it was all the way finished
Reply:I also took the handle off and welded on a nut to the acme rod of the jack so I can take my drill to raise and lower it. I can raise it all the way with 18volt cordless in less than 15 seconds, with my electric dewalt drill I can make it all the way up in 8 seconds. I also made some mods so my sled sits on there more stable than the one in the drawing. Ill post some of my moddified pics sometime this week. crunchtime for school right now.
Reply:Will you please post the CAD files, I can not see the details on the post that you have. ThanksLincoln AC225 Stick WelderSolar 2175 MIG Welder
Reply:ill post up my cad later this week when I get around to it. I will also get better pictures and pictures of my modifications. I took that drawing posted above and made it a half inch wider, moved the location for the jack atachtment locations, and added on pieces on the back of the top rails to keep my sled level. |
