Reply:Thanks guys! Ya they were done with a spoolgun and ya i hate when people don't fill their craters! I used to work for a company where I would fill the craters and the supervisor was like "what are you doing?! That's gunna take you forever to weld if you do that!".http://specific.net

Reply:Man I don't understand the hate on welding wookie.  He is spot on with his critique.  The OP asked a simple question.  What do you think of the weld?  The weld is a good weld even a great weld by many standards, but it isn't perfect.  There is room for improvement.  Zap's welds and ZTFab's welds are near perfect, but this one isn't.  Look at the weld again.  Yes it is a fine weld, but if a man asks for his weld to be critiqued, don't be a priss when someone does.  I don't think the OP was offended.  At least I didn't read his replies as such.  Some of yall need to man up.

Reply:This site...wow!I understand that guys need to learn to be thickskinned on the jobsite.  It's fine to take the piss out of someone, or be blunt in critiquing someone's work.  But remember that a post on a website is devoid of tone of voice, body language and other non-verbal cues.  It happens in office environments all the time where people take the tone of e-mails to be much more harsh than they were intended because of these missing non-verbal cues.I'm not saying that we have to turn into a bunch of handwringing, positive-affirmation-touting-pansies, but keep in mind the limitations of communication via posts on the 'net.This... Wookiees are known to do that. .No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald ReaganOh gee here we go again..It's not for a bridge or a missile launching pad so I believe they will hold up just fine..And I have see some that are worse that are!...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Originally Posted by bert the welderWow!?! It's from "Star Wars".I agree with Hardware and would reiterate what I've said before. We need a greater selection of smilies to make up for lack of face time and for people to use them more.Nothing wrong with a nice group hug
Reply:For all the people that said it's a good weld I thank you! For the one person who actually critiqued my weld I thank you. I'm not going to be all pissed off about a critique even though I don't really see what you're talking about. If it was for something that had to be a super strong weld I probably would use TIG instead of MIG and it probably wouldn't be aluminum. I was just going for looks mainly.http://specific.net
