headgear in fibremetal

hey...what headgear is better in the fibremetal pipeliner shield..the ratchet or rubber headgear??
Reply:it all boils down to personal preference really and what your jobsite requires.  out in the refineries they mostly require the use of a hard hat while wearing a hood

Reply:I bought the ratchet headgear because I got tired to pulling the band tight all the time, but found out it interferes with a tigerhood flipping up.  Probably a pipeliner too, but mines is chopped up top.  I put some electrical tape on one side of the band, so it doesn't loosen as often.  I have no problem switching back to the ratchet if the band breaks, although it is a tad heavier.  But it doesn't squeeze my temples like the Jackson 370 did.
