I saw some 6022 rod the other day and was just curious what it is like.Did search and seems like it is a "decking rod". Flat/horizontal only. Was wondering how it runs...like 6010/11? Any other uses for it?AlA man is judged by what's between his legs...always ride a good horseMiller DialArc HFLincoln Classic 300DThermal Arc 181iPowermax 45Scotchman Ironworker(2) BridgeportsOkomota Surface GrinderAutoCAD 2010
Reply:It is a decking rod. It is used to plug weld decking to structure. Works very well in that app. I have never ever tried it any other way.QamuIs Heg qaq law' lorvIs yInqaq puS
Reply:Its only used for the 5/8" puddle weld for decking. Won't work on anything else.Lincoln 300 Vantage 2008300 Commander 1999SA250 1999SA200 1968Miller Syncrowave 200XMT350MPA/S-52E/xr-15Xtreme 12vs Millermatic 251 w/30A Millermatic 251 Dialarc 250 Hypertherm 1250 GEKA & Bantom Ironwokers

Reply:Its a puddle spot weld.6022 has been used by many ironworkers to weld bridging into joists. Most engineers are requiring a 70-series rod these days though. Even had some jobs require 70 series rod for the deck welds.
