I have got many doors to weld stiffeners and clips for plexiglas windows on the inside of the door but when I do it swells or pulls at everyweld which causes an obvious blemish everywhere it was tacked after paint how can I reduce thisThanks for infoP.s. doors are 14 and 16 gauge and I'm tacking at 14.3 and wire 175
Reply:Seems like this is one of those deals where that's just the way it's going to be. Rapid spot heat on one side and you're going to have a bump on the other. Less heat would be a lesser bump, but how much less heat is acceptable?"The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt
Reply:perhaps preheating an area around the clip would help....hmmmm
Reply:what about a spot welder (a good reason for tool buyin ?)Miller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few. So YES you can own too many tools.
Reply:Got my welder is turned all the way down just gonna keep sanding the bump out
