what better for a all around engine drive machine 250 amp + Lincoln or miller?
Reply:Pick a color.Seriously. We run Vantage 300 diesel machines on our newer rigs. We ran the old SA250's before that. But for our smaller mobile rigs that the foreman run, we use Miller Bobcats that run on propane. Both are pretty good machines. The Lincolns get the nod, because the duty cycle is 100%. But the Millers do very well, and need little servicing. And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.

Reply:The Lincoln Ranger 250 GXT is pretty damn nice and looks like you can AC tig off of it with an additional HF box...much like the recently discontinued Miller Trailblazer 302 (and you can see plenty of posts on here from owners who liked that feature a lot). Personally I just brought a Ranger 305G. Both Lincoln and Miller tend to keep neck and neck in the small engine drive race as far as features and such. Either brand should serve you well.
