Reply:nmaine1313I distinctly remember seeing your out-fit sold at three different auction over the summer of '71.It's great to see it has a home - does any of it work?Opus

Reply:We'd really need to see good clear picts of the torches/regs to give you a decent answer. Note that you should never get any sort of solvent around the O2 reg or fittings. 100% O2 and any sort of contaminants is a bad idea. If anything hook up the O2 reg to the cylinder, then wipe it down with a damp rag with maybe a tiny bit of dawn added to the water. Don't get the whole thing dripping wet, just wipe off the surface dirt.To truly clean an O2 reg, you need to send it out to be done professionally. I'd recommend these guys. Quite a few guys here have had very good luck with them and they do a good job. You can also take them to your LWS and they can send it out to someone they use.http://www.regulatortorchrepair.com/repairservices.phpNow the bad news... Airco has been out of business for awhile. While they made good regs, parts availability may be difficult to come by. Check with those guys to see whether parts are available for your set up. They won't steer you wrong. They'll tell you if it's possible to rebuild your stuff and if it's cost effective to do so. In some cases it's simply not worth the money even if the parts are still available..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Torches and regulators have o-rings and diaphragms that can go bad after years of sitting; best bet may be to have them looked over by a technician. Since the bottles have pressure you can test the equipment but use caution! I'd give DSW's repair suggestion a serious think.Hoses dry-rot and develop cracks- if you have pressure you can bucket test them. Around here those cylinders are rental bottles, not owner bottles, so you may need to do some checking to see who can fill / swap them. YMMV because the policy changes from region to region. Also, the isuggestion to let bottles stand upright for a day is very important. (Sorry if I'm preaching or telling you stuff you already know.)Best of luck with it!
Reply:Transporting bottles inside an enclosed vehicle is very dangerous and should never be done. Most welding supplies will not sell or exchange bottles if they see them in an enclosed vehicle.
Reply:Concora is the new airco and check the necks for the lws when they are empty ,they should fill. Buy new hoses.
