Put this together for an upcoming set of projects:[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXHRO-I7SPQ[/ame] Attached ImagesThe Lord has declared, "This is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man"  Moses 1:39Link: My name is John, and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.-- ColdCreekWorks.com --

Reply:Hello jdh239, very nice work, simple and efficient. Also a great way to expand your available tooling and it's uses. Nicely done, Kudos to you. Best regards, Allanaevald

Reply:Looks good. Nothing better than building your own tools. Now you need a lathe so you can start making your own dies.
Reply:Slick but when you bent the piece on video you needed to have the pre bent half over your bench not on the floor side. You ran into it doing the bend (you may have addressed it I only watched to the video off point). You may not have left enough room over the bench side for elaborate bends. No doubt there will be refinments keep us posted (more vids).Miller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few. So YES you can own too many tools.

Reply:jdh slick tool man! the problem i see you are having with the HF dies is a very easy problem to correct i am a machinist for a living and  that can be fixed in about 30mins. worth of lathe work if you have a buddy that has a lathe have him machine off the end of the roller until the grooves are aligned with each other  when you sit them on a flat surface then machine the other one to the same length and they will be in perfect alignment with each other . maybe you already knew that but it's not a big deal to fix . i like easy simple stuff like that ,why can't our engineers of the world design stuff that  simple ? cool tool man  good luck !chris
Reply:The brackets you used, what size did you make them out of?  I'm thinking the ones the rollers are attached look like 3/16th?  Then the heavy hitch tubing.  I have a couple sets of rollers besides the round die rollers for my HF tube roller.  One is the 1/2", I modified the other for 3/4" square tubing.I wonder if a 1/2" x 4" strap would work for the base?MarkI haven't always been a nurse........Craftsman 12"x36" LatheEnco G-30B MillHobart Handler 175Lincoln WeldandPower 225 AC/DC G-7 CV/CCAdd a Foot Pedal to a Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 165A DC TIG PapaLion's Gate Build
