This joint was "fixed" by some Joe at one point, but hardly meets standards.250 syncrowave, 3/32 2% tung, 1/16 5356, 80 amp, foot pedal. And the worst thing about my job, have to grind off most of the welds. If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck is empty."-Grandad circa 1990ish
Reply:I know how you feel, you make some nice welds then have to grind it off. I worked in a plant that we made stainless steel tables, sinks, cabinets, etc. for labs, hospitals and food prep industry. You spend all day putting down beads then it goes to the guy that sands it off and polishes it. Yes it looks nice and clean, but no one can see all your hard work. www.georgesplasmacuttershop.comPlasma Cutter and Welder Sales and Repairs--Ebay storeTec.Mo. Reply:I don't mind taking off welds, just means I don't have to try as hard while welding (most cases).
