Valentines Heart

Seemings there is a bit of a theme to some of the posts i've read lately, I thought I would post up a gift I made for the wife for today:I don't have a plasma cutter, the letters were marked drilled then filed to the correct size and shape.The hearts were cut and shaped with my grinders. The smaller heart is actually 3 20x3mm strap welded together, as I was running out of materials.As this is a welding forum, I've attached a picture of the back which shows my embarrassing and shameful welds. I CAN do better. I was fairly disappointed with the quality of these welds. I regret not grinding them out and redoing them actually. they will hold for their intended purpose though! Attached Images

Reply:Originally Posted by DSWIt's nice to see guys do things the "old" way from time to time. Too many new guys think you need all the fancy gadgets to get anything accomplished and forget there was a time when they did a lot of heavy metal work with almost nothing but hand tools.
