I'm attempting to connect the co2 cylinder to a new gauge for a Hobart 190 mig welder. the cylinder is 100% co2 and the connection is wrong for that to work. I was wondering if an adapter could be used or will I have to change that fitting on the co2 bottle before I can make that connection.I also have a cylinder with 100% argon with the correct fitting that will work on the mig gun. not sure if 100% argon, without co2 will work.this is all happening as I write this and its a Friday afternoon and if I have to change either valve on the cylinder I need to move quickly before the weekend.any suggestions?
Reply:The CO2 fitting just requires an adaptor - about $20. Make sure you get the little plastic washer too.Mig with straight argon is not correct.Dave J.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
