Anyone know what this is exactly? Add says its a 1975, but looks much older to me. DC 250 with a Wisconsin 4 valve engine. Attached Images
Reply:Its cool looking, I take it that since the plug wires are haniging off and not hooked to the plugs that it isnt running. Would look cool fixed back up.
Reply:I'm afraid am no help to you, but I do think it would look really sweet restored!
Reply:A little sheet metal work, and some red powder coat, and you'll have a keeper
Reply:Looks to me like it says "Lincwelder 250 ac dc" on the faceplate. A dandy old Lincoln that needs some TLC.Those back wheels are just like the ones under my Idealarc 250.If it was close to me, I'd snag it and fix it up.PapaLast edited by papaharley03; 02-16-2012 at 01:59 AM.Lincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175
Reply:It looks like the big brother to mine.  I have a lincwelder 180dc.  2 cyl Wisconsin.  mine is a 48.  I runs and welds well.  I have it mounted to a utility truck and use it often.  If I need to weld hard and long, I use my sa200.  My lincwelder is 30% duty.  Cool machine, if it were close, I would grab it too.Bruce DeLaetHeavy Equipment Mechanic and Welder1948 SA-200 short hood1949 LincWelder 1801963 SA-200 red faceMiller S-32-P
Reply:You mean a Wisconsin 4 cylinder? That machine was the predecessor to the short hood. Not sure of exact year but should be much older than that.Miller Pro 30068 SA 20064 SAF 300305 G Lincoln gasserMiller 210
Reply:I'll give ya $750 if you will ship it to Houston.really
Reply:I'm thinking 1875, or maybe even 1775.  It might have come over on the Mayflower. A nice project for the right person who has the time, patience, and money to research and restore it properly.

Reply:Yes i meant 4 cylinder, i was just retyping what was on the add, not thinking. tbone550 - i laughed pretty good at the mayflower comment. Sure is old looking to me too
Reply:Does anyone have a link to the year finder on those machines?  I used to have a link, which crossed the serial number to the year, but it doesn't work anymore. It was a link from the lincoln electric websitge.
Reply:That thing is a keeper! It needs to be restored. If you don't want to do it, please take the time to find someone who will do it right. Don't scrap it. Reply:My idealarc has the same cart, I thought it was home made.
Reply:I have bought and sold several, my guess is late 40's early 50's....that is very early 50's
Reply:Did you just get it or is it still for sale? The V-4 Wisconsin engine went through a number of versions but was used on lots of agricultural equipment like binders, I've been told.
