I absolutely hate doing that overlay, I have to wear two pairs of stick welding gloves and be careful I don't rest my coolant lines on the smoking hot fitting.

We rebuilt feeder and discharge valves for a plant that made cellulose(spelling?) food filler. The big ones were 27" in diameter and the small ones 21". Big ones would usually take 120lbs+ and the small ones 70 to 80lbs. Minimum 300° preheat up to 500°. Fun stuff,not.btw its not like hardface it's more like super hardface.

Reply:Very professional! Great workmanship. Just wondering, on the pump discharge side is there drain valves ? I hate when these engineers draw this and do not provide drains above the triple duty valve. Maybe in this case they are not needed but I hate breaking flanges apart and dumping water or glycol mix on floor. GREAT UNION WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
