Fire Pit From a Tractor Rim

Hey yall!! Heres a somewhat recent project Ive completed...Last August, right before school started, I went shopping for some new school clothes one night. Driving the backroads home from the city, I saw this ole' thing sitting with someones trash next to the road. At first I was going to scrap it, but when I got it home and looked it over I decided it was in far too good of shape for that, so I ended up making a fire pit out of it. I meant to craigslist it or something. but my mom kinda fell in love with it, so it wont be going anywhere far lol.I just thought its amazing what people pitch, this thing has to weigh every bit of 90 pounds and was perfectly round, crack-free, etc. I wish I could find stuff like this every day Anyway, I shot a couple (HD) videos of the process, it sure was fun to build, and I hope you all enjoy them. Im a self-confessed tig noob, but I thought it was fun to put together. Reply:Lanse so glad to see you have progressed so far.  Proud of ya'.The Winter wandering  greybeards around here salvage washing machine tubs.  These are highly prized because they make a pretty darned good firepit. I used to get a kick outta watchin your farming videos, good stuff. when you got a little older and got into the welding trade I was very happy to see, you have good hands, and I knew you would strive to be as good as you could possibly be in short order, and your doing it bud, very proud of you. Hey one question! Did you sell your Kubota to buy all your equipment, I dont see it around in your vids anymoe. I have same machine MX5100 turbo diesel, great little powerhouse, hope you didnt have to sell it. Hows horsechick doing these days, you should try and incorporate her into some of your welding vids. Tuff girl, seems like a real pistol, but funny as well. Be cool bud, and keep at it, your a natural!
