I'm in need of a torch to do some cutting. I originally set out for oxygen and acetylene, but eventually found that propane seems more readily availible as well as cheaper. I know that it supposedly doesn't cut as well as acetylene, but I would rather get an oxy tank and just a bbq propane tank to do my cutting with. I'm wondering if I can use a regular oxygen and acetylene set up (torches, regulators, etc.) with an oxy and propane set up. I know I'll need different hoses and tips, but will this work? I know basically nothing about oxy-fuel cutting. I never used the torch any in shop class, I did get pretty handy with the welder though. Thanks for any help.

Reply:Smith make a Toughcut LP version. Reasonable price, high quality (except for the goggles, throw them in the trash and buy a face shield):http://weldfabulous.wordpress.com/20...t-mb54a-510lp/
