New bumper for 83' F350

Well its been alooooooooong time since I've posted anything and i thought I should get off my butt and contribute abit.  As usual the the welding and workmanship is mediocre, but hopefully functional.   I have seen many cool bumpers on the site here and elsewhere and wanted to try to make one for my old wood/farm truck.  (I also just gave her a $50.00 rattle can cammo paint job!)  My assistent for the project was my youngest son Nate, who really wasn't that keen to be away from his computer for so long! Reply:I was concern with getting the angles for the ends of the bumper very close to the same and ended up cutting the face of the bumper approximately 75% of the way thru at the "bend" and simply bent each end to the desired angle.  I then just filled with a weld.To mount the bumper I created the "sub-bumper" assembly, fitted it up to the mounting holes  and then welded to the back of the new bumper. Reply:A few final pictures.  As I look at the back of the bumper I wish I had been more uniform with the weld spacing, it looks abit shoddy with the uneven spacing. Attached Images
Reply:Last batch, final coat of flat black.  the bumper fit was tight and a PITA to put on by myself., probably over built.  I didn't notice until after I tightend it up and took the the pictures that it tilted back toward the grill.  I have since shimmed the top out so it sits right.Oh Yea, I would show off like Sam and lift the truck up by the clivis hooks, but I pretty sure one of two things would happen;  1) My loader would break , Or 2) My truck frame would break in middle!  (Or maybe both). Reply:Hey guys, thanks for the feedback!  I haven't done much welding over the winter so this was good therapy for me.PapaLion, I call it the farm truck because I don't take it any farther from our "farm" then I can tow it home!Jon, I'm a George, I have a good friend who's a Roger though!ZTFab, I have told Nate he and I are going to be spending much more quality time together (ie.OUTSIDE) in the next few years.  I hate seeing him just play video games and surfing the interent for hours.
