if you're wearing bifocals or progressives like i do,chances are they are screwing up your vision while welding as you are looking thru the wrong part of the lens.also, having astigmatism, you can't just use drugstore cheaters.what i did was calculate a computer glasses script (you can also get a script for your welding distance from your eye doctor)and then order from zennioptical.com. $10.00 frames and free single-script lenses.you can't beat $10 glasses that let you see what you're welding.miller thunderbolt 250vlincoln square wave tig 175 prolincoln idealarc mig sp250everlast tig 210EXTeverlast power plasma 50chicago electric (hf) 130 tig/90 arcchicago electric 90 amp flux wire3 sets oxy/acet
Reply:Zennioptical is great. I was quoted $1150.00 for progressive glasses. I gave Zennioptical my prescription and ordered from them. Six days later my glasses were at my front door via DHL courier. Total cost? $116.00
Reply:Excellent post - I'm currently using the upper portion of my glasses with a cheater lens in the helmet.Sounds like this would work better.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday. |
