Reply:Those repairs look like a cold 6010 or 7018 on AC. They look like a dogs a$$ sewed up with barbwire.
Reply:Cool pics, thanks for sharing. I never get tired of looking at heavy equipment repairs. The quarries around here have their own weldors on staff. Is it common to have this kind of work outsourced, in your area?Is that the Vantage 500?"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Yes to both. The quarries around here would probably be considered small in other parts of the world, 4 - 5 of them should keep me pretty busy. Its an '06 Vantage 500, lays a pretty nice bead most of the time. When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives.

Reply:I've never been to TX. I don't know if these titles hold true today, but during my 18 year stretch as a trucking company, I've hauled out of the worlds largest quarry, Material Service Yard 41 in Thornton and the worlds busiest quarry, Vulcan Materials in McCook/Hodgekins. At least that's what I was told. Both are a 20 minute drive from me. Vulcan has Airpaks and Turbo 600's and Material Service, now Hanson, has big Lincolns and Airpaks."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!!
