new here need a little help. I have a 90 amp mig century intgas welder which is about 5 years old. from time to time i cant get it to work right and dont know if its a welder problem or me. for example, i set the wire speed about 5.5, volt full hi, problem is some times i cant always get a clean buzz. sometimes i get no buzz and just a puddle which then drips. i check ground clamp, power cord, gas (about 10-12) I try and try no buzz then without changing any settings i get a clean smooth buzz, i move along the weld 2-3 inches and all of a sudden it stops buzzing and starts making a puddle which then might drip in to the gun. it doest matter what thick metal or what perfect my settings are. 'ive asked around and the short answer is change setting but if that's the problem then why does it work perfect some times then with no change it stop working do i need a better welder, thanks for any help
Reply:might be the liner in the whip kinked and causing wire to stick , ive had that .. just replace inner liner , in whip .>Innovations are what i leave behind for History |
