Yesterday I just received from a friend a Victor 100c free with full tanks and the cart. The setup is in good condition and has a complete cutting torch assembly with the tip but it is missing the welder tips. I have not used gas for welding or cutting for at least 25 years, so excuse me for not being up to date on it and for all the stupid questions. I use Mig and Plasma for everything now days.I was looking at a few websites to find some replacement welding tips, and noticed that the victor ones are rather pricy. I do not plan on using this thing everyday, and was wondering what other tips will fit this unit that may be cheaper to get. I would be ok with the ones from Harbor Freight if I knew they would work, but I am not sure if they are compatible. I also would be also interested in any other compatible manufactures that will work as well?I will mostly be using this thing for heating and bending steel from time to time and do not need top of the line accessories for it.Thanks for any suggestions…
Reply:I believe Forney makes welding tips for that torch handle.  I have no experience with other-than-Victor tips.  I would just buy some used genuine Victor tips on ebay if I were you.
Reply:I second the Ebay advice. Some pics and part numbers from the ATL site for reference:http://www.atlweldingsupply.com/W-1_c_226.html
Reply:I hate buying from Ebay because you never know what you are going to get, but that maybe the only choice at the moment. There was one thread on here that someone said the HF is a victor clone and there tips would fit, On the web site it does not state the connector size and I know it needs to be 5/8. I did see the ATL advertisement that farmall has a link to that i seen this morning.I was a bit shocked this morning at the price that Victor wants for a piece of bent brass with a hole in itI am also trying to stay local with these parts and will see what our two welding shops have to offer, but I dont want to walk in there dum as a post either....Last edited by RangerDaleXp; 07-18-2011 at 06:40 PM.
Reply:It's not bent brass.  Victor uses a special alloy, HF does not.HF is a Victor clone, as are many other Chinese torches, but they may or may not fit together (depends on the quality of the cloning). As for eBay.  If you know someone with a TIG welder, you can have them TIG the tip shut, and then re-drill it with the correct drill bit, and it's good as new.  Welding tips last forever.

Reply:Just a little update. I have some Factory Victor welding tip coming that was bought from Ebay. But I do want to add that the welding tips that are sold from Harbor Freight are Victor 100 series compatible and do work on the torch. I bought 1 today and used it and will buy the other two next week. They show on there website that the tips are for there Heavy Duty welding set up. The sizes are as followsWelding tip #2 which is the same as 2-W-1 or 2-T13.Welding tip #4 which is the same as 4-W-1 or 4-T13.Rosebud tip #6 which is the same as 6-MFA-1.Also Northern Tool sells a 4 piece set as well, but two are cutting tips......Last edited by RangerDaleXp; 07-22-2011 at 08:47 PM.
Reply:Keep in mind it's very easy to overdraw most small/ medium acet cylinders using even a small rosebud. Even a #1 welding tip will max out the 1/7th rule on a "B" size cylinder if run full open. A #2 full open will max out a 75 cf cylinder. A #4 will come close to the withdrawl rate on the 75cf at anything over the minimum listing. Here's a good chart that lists suggested  acet use for given tip sizes.http://www.hoopersupply.com/tipchart.html.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
