I remember about a year ago I was reading on here (maybe it wasn't even in the projects section?) about an oxy-propane cutting cart. I believe this was part of a larger thread about just the carts people built in general.Anyways, this cart was unique. The oxygen bottle was mounted behind and the propane bottle was mounted in front. It had large tires but the thing that really made it stand out to me was that I believe it was made out of 1"x3" (or something like that) tubing for the sides. The sides were setting on something like a 12 degree angle. The guy who made it had made several other matching carts for his welders, etc all on the same angle. It was a really professional looking setup. I imagine he had a lot of time in it for what it was, but I sure like the way it looked. For the life of me, I cannot find that thread. I have searched and searched but there are so many cart threads on WeldingWeb that it's impossible to narrow them down in a manner that will allow you to find a specific one. Is there anyone out there who knows what I'm talking about? Thanks.
Reply:I think the one you might be looking for is Steve's ( 7A749). He's had a couple posts with it listed, this is just the 1st I came across. I know he had one similar to this using the big side wheels from an old fire extinguisher cart, but I'm still looking for the link. It was buried in either someone else's thread, or buried in one of his. I believe it was an older cart he'd sold at some time.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...highlight=cartThere have been a couple other carts of similar design here as well. Aevald may have done something similar as well that I can't locate right now.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...highlight=cart.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:The first one is the one I was looking for. Thank you very much! I thought it was an oxy-propane cart but it looks like it's an acetylene cutting unit. That might have been part of my searching problem. That and now knowing which poster to search for. Thanks again.
