First time posting. Going to buy a plasma cutter and I am looking for ideas to make projects out of sheet metal. This is just for hobbyist use with an unlimited amount of sheet metal available cheaply.Signs and silhouettes are ideas right now. Is there any other uses? Thanks for any help.

Reply:Tons of options for things that can get done. Wind chimes and mobiles come to mind right away. All sorts of signs and yard art. I like to keep a camera with me and take picts anytime I see something that might be a good project and put all those picts in a folder. That way when I',m looking for an idea say to make a towel rack or a candle holder, I open up the folder and browse thru the ideas to see if any of them seem to fit what I need or if there are any ideas I'd like to incorporate into the project..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Google 3D Wood Models, a lot of them are made from flat pieces. My steel supplier has some made out of steel on the counter. If you can handle 3/16 or 1/4 you can even make fabrication parts like tabs and bracket parts. |
