Haven't posted nor welded in a while, but I had one of those days where for no reason at all, you pick #817 on your to-do list and scratch it off. I made this stainless trellis for the climbing rose behind my garage. Barely any welding in it, just a bunch of tacks. I don't know how to make pretty stainless tacks so these are all grey. At one point, I thought my Speedglas hood was broken. It kept darkening out of the blue. Then I realized the garage door was up, and it was sensing the lightning flashes from the thunderstorms rolling through. It's just a really long arc, dummy! And finally, in situ... Like all my projects, it took me far longer than it should've... but I think it looks acceptable, and will probably outlive me.__David Hillman

Reply:Looks good, my hood will shade if I turn my head to fast not even looking at the sun.Haven't been out in a storm. Have to weld outside for now.
