Xmt300: whats it worth?

Found one. Complete with tig leads. Works. Has auto-line. What's it worth?
Reply:Be very cautious of this. They are nice machines, but they haven't the best track record. When they blowup, it's usually cheaper to replace than repair them because the parts are very expensive. That's not true of the XMT304's, just the XMT300's.If you can get it dirt cheap and it works, use it till it dies and get a new machine. I wouldn't spend more than maybe $400-500 tops if I saw it works. Untested, maybe $50-100. I've seen XMT304's for as little as $800 -1000 and they are much better machines..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
