I saw a for sale post recently that reignited my interest in identifying a welder. Anybody know anything about Birdsell welders?A fellow weldingweb guy is selling thishttp://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=36669It should be the same as this:http://compare.ebay.com/like/3005780...Types&var=sbarBoth of these look very, very similar to this thing that i've been trying to identify. (See attachment) Their control panels are practically identical. Is this Birdsell welder a rebadged Miller 330a/bpr? The only differences that i see are how there are 4 amperage positions instead of three on this welder and that it is painted green. Think this the 450 amp model instead of the 330?Thanks! Reply:miller likes to buy their technology sometimes. they bought their way into inverter technology by buying powcon in the eighties as I understand, and they bought the airco welder and rebadged it 330A/BP. airco probably just rebadged it to some other people too before completely selling out. by the by my "330" goes to 460 amps too.Dynasty 200DXPassport plus w/ spoolmate 100victor 315c oxy/(act and prop)Miller digital elitemilwaukee power tools

Reply:Most of the writing and labeling on this machine is worn off. Think this thing is a 450 or a 330? Any idea why there are 4 rough amp settings instead of 3 as with the other machines linked?Any other welding machines that this thing could be? |
