2 racks today can you see the mistake in one

I built 2 of the same and one different today for the yard sale my back was starting to hurt then I lost my mind and made a mistake should be easy to see.   Attached Images

Reply:I wasnt taking the photo straight on that is why they seem out of line, but they are straight the 4 ring rack had the cross bar misaligned, and I thought that the leaves should pointing down but hey I could be wrong.  the 6 ring rack I dont think the leaves will interfear unless it is a magnum bottle, a regular should fit.  I think the four ring is oriented right I looked at it the upside down way to but then I thought the grapes would face up instead of down so I turned it over.  The rings come from the local metal yard in 3 different sizes, the 6 ringer is the large size, and the 4 ringer is the middle size, the cross bars are 1/8 solid that I twist myself then cut to size depending on what I need.  Thanks for looking and comenting.  Let me know if you see any more wrong or if I am wrong.

Reply:In order to have the leaves curving in to follow the lines of the rack one has to go to the back side.  I bought all of the items from Patton steel in Ontario, Ca, but I think King carries them or Industrial Metal supply.  Patton is a local dealer with I think 5 stores in Calif, but will ship as far as I know and all 3 companies can be found on the web.
Reply:I do make these to sell, I am having a hard time putting a price on them though I was thinking $30.00 for the 6 ringer and 35.00 to 40.00 for the 4,but time will tell.  This is the 1st 3 made and out for sale today.  I hope to be able to make these as well as some wind chimes and some grape trees amongst a few other things to sell on the weekends.  Thanks again for the comments would like to hear more.

Reply:if these are designed to sit on someones fine furnature will they perhaps scratch ? So YES you can own too many tools.
Reply:Nice Ron, but I think they are priced too cheap, especially if they are getting any type of a finish. You  can always go lower on the pricing if some one is interested. Also think about removing the "stringer" that sits on top of the cast vine assembly, it looks like the rings would rest nicely on the humps of the vine and blend smootly.    This woudl look perfect in a silver or copper vein powdercoat. I will send you a sample during the week if you like and we can talk more on the powdercoat oven. Might even have an extra HF style setup you could borrow and send back when you are done with it. Reply:they sure could use a felt pad on the bottom, these were the 1st 3 done and wanted to get them out for the sale.  Coupe it would be hard to remove the stringer as the piece is cast aluminum and there is a small tab of metal cast in with aluminum so that it can be welded to the parent piece.  I do want to finish them so that the price could be increased.  That is why I was wondering if a propane smoker would generate a high enough temp to cure the powder coating?  If a propane smoker would work, that would allow me to take these to the next level, by adding color to the grapes as well as a different color to the other parts.  And yes I would like to see and hear more about powder coating process and borrowing the gun till enough is rolling to by my own.  Thanks for the comments and would still like to hear more.Ron
