Jet Flux Recipe

Hi Everyone,  new to the site.  I build classic racing motorcycle chassis using old school nickle bronze braizing techniques using a Jet Flux/ Vapour Flux unit.  Many of my local welding suppliers are not stocking the flux anymore,  some of them dont even know what Im talking about.  I believe the flux is made up of methanol,  acetone and borax.  Can anyone confirm what the recipe is.  Cheers,  Stu
Reply:Have you looked at the MSDS for this product?The MSDS will list the key chemical ingredients and their percentages by weight.e.g  I have done this for aluminum fluxes from several different manufacturer's (Harris, ESAB, etc.)Rick V 1 Airco Heliwelder 3A/DDR3 CTC 70/90 amp Stick/Tig Inverters in Parallel1 Lincoln MIG PAK 151 Oxy-Acet

Reply:Hi ,  Thanks everyone.  Once again,  the power of the net has not let me down.  How did we ever solve problems,  fix things or find stuff out before the internet.  I remember enquiring about details of a very rare race frame that I wanted to build and posted on a couple of forums.  I got a reply from a man who must have been 80 in the shade who said he actually managed the factory race team for this manufacturer in the 70's and would I like the factory drawings....well yeah!!!.  Priceless.  Cheers,  Stu
