Reply:That's some really tight work there I wonder why they didn't choose 2205 for a pressure vessel? Might save money, and it's less prone to weld cracks. Is the the elbow a casting?Last edited by Joshfromsaltlake; 06-14-2012 at 06:38 AM.
Reply:JoshfromsaltlakeIt all depends on the customer and the engineers we deal with anything from Titanium / Inconel / Monel / Hastelloy /aluminum in various grades to multiple grades of stainless to some alloys i don't even remember the names for We mainly do Nuclear work some fuel systems and hydraulics but pretty much all pressure piping with assemblies hydro tested at over 20k psi Most stuff is military applicationsI don't get to pick the materials i just weld themThanks for the complimentLast edited by WeldorWes; 06-14-2012 at 07:17 AM.Miller Xmt 350Lincoln Ln-25Ahp 200xSmith Gas Mixer AR/HTig is my Kung FuThrowing down dimes and weaving aboutInstagram http://instagram.com/[email protected]

Reply:What, not done in a 'glove box'? (just bustin' yer chops, sometimes a weld -has- to be done in a completely 'sealed' inert environment, sometimes just the shielding gas through the cup/nozzle is OK. As I'm sure you know. ) The best laid schemes ... Gang oft agley ...
