Miller 12vs suitcase Lead problems need LINER!?

Just got a used miller 12vs suitcase for my miller bobcat 225. I used it to weld a few parts. I had some binding and bird nesting in the case. I think this is caused by the liner. I want to get some new .045 tips and a liner.  I think its is pretty basic to change not very complicated. I have a 13 foot miller lead. I looked on ebay i see bernard liners and miller liners. i think they are the same. I do not see 13 foot? I only see 15ft. Can i shorten at 15foot to a 13 foot or what is the correct part number
Reply:Yes you can shorten a liner. Reply:Also do not use a cut off tool. it leaves a sharp edge fro the wire to scrape across.Use a good set of side cutters, split the coils and then cut it off. If the end sticks out, cut or grind it down. You need to turn on the diffuser with out it catching. Liners are different, so you have to get the correct liner for your make and model gun. Best way is to take it in to your LWS for your first new liner. save the package with the part number and you can buy the next one anywhere. If you ask nicely they may even show you how to install it.
Reply:I personally like a small pair of cable cutters since they cut in a circle and leave a nice edge for the wire.
