I got a Pipeliner when Amazon had them for 40 bucks. I got sick of adjusting the rubber headgear and almost spent another $20 on ratchet headgear. But then I had an idea.No more slipping headgear, really comfortable, really light.
Reply:I had the rubber headgear in mine too, had to swap it for the ratchet headgear in my tigerhood. I'm going to try those clips though, I couldn't think of a way to keep it from slipping.Airco Ac/Dc 300 HeliwelderMillerMatic 200 (stolen)Miller Maxstar 150STLMiller AEAD200LE (welding and generating power) Hobart MIG
Reply:Back in the old days I was working in a new surgery room at the hospital . Got to know one of the docs and got a piece of surgical tubing from him .It worked great. Drilled a couple of holes the size of tubing , cutout part of head band, run tubing thru and tied knots in each end . Nice and comfy too.
Reply:I hadn't thought of using surgical tubing. Nice idea.
Reply:I have two brand new rubber band head gear from the Pipeliner hoods, for sale. Just saying........."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:If they'd fit the 706 I'd be all over it. Fibre metal is awfully proud of their headgear. Yours is a steal.
Reply:I think they only fit the Pipeliner because it is narrower that FM's other hoods, like the Tiger hood. But if you can find different, I have two of them for sale."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!!
