Here is the update from my flame bending video. The client put two coats of rhinoliner on it and a coat of semigloss black. I haven't made the bolt on tusks yet, but soon. Attached Images

Reply:that guard looks really nice...but I think it needs a filler, perhaps diamond plate, below the headlights. (just my two bits) I really like it though.Miller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few. Reply:I think using "filler" would make it look like a snowplow, IMHO. But yeah, VERY well done [Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009
Reply:That looks great. Did you build a jig / fixture? Or eyeball it?
Reply:For the bend I made a pattern off of the factory bumper. I set up a straightedge and took measurements every 4". If I did this type of work often I'd make an adjustable pattern, but this was a one off, so I just cut 1/4" round bar to the measurements I took and welded them to another straightedge. Every now and then in the video you can see me holding it. The rest was by eye. |
