flip up conversion

Lookin for a flip up conversion lens for my fiber metal pipeliner hood - i have seen em and yes i know i can buy one for cheap with a flip up already - prob is i want mine - with a flip up on it - anybody know where i can get one?  have searched and cant find one - thanks for any help - Dave

Reply:sellstrom used to make a add on kit. they are all but impossible to find.   i've been given persmission to rummage through the back shelfs of 2 LWS's just to find one in a dusty box with no luck.i thought about cutting a flip front Tiger hood lens box out. making a slim gasket and riviting on the the pipeliner.there was one other FM kit,but i forgot the maker and i'ts also impossible to find.
Reply:Slicing the front out of a Tiger Hood makes sense, and you could bond it to the Pipeliner with something like 3M 5200.

Reply:There is another thread about this. Fieldres on YouTube has a video of it. The part you need is the replacement lens holder for the Sellstrom leather hood. I am trying to order it now from Sellstrom. There are also hoods called Porta Shell that are sold in the United Kingdom that are literally exact pipeliner hoods with a flip front. But I am finding it impossible to get one in the USLocal 83
