One way to make a hinge

In my life I have made hundreds of hinges from Garden gate hinges to mammoth Thrust bearing hinges that support a couple thousand lbs. The most fun is small decorative hinges that only have to do their job and everything else is for pretty.  Here is a sample from the last few years.   This hinge holds a round 1/4 inch plate glass mirror and a hardwood frame.   the mirror and frame and mirror backing board are supported only by the three holes in the glass and back board.  Iv'e made dozens of these round frames for pictures and mirrors. Iv'e never sold one but Iv'e traded them for car repairs, boats, and other necessities.   enjoy.  Mac Attached Images

Reply:All the metal is welded to shape and then just sprayed with Rustoleum.  Mac
Reply:I did the Iron work and the wood work, I cut the glass and drilled it.  The rods on the hinge are just 5/16 hot rolled welded with small beads on their length with a little Lincoln 175. the formed piece in the main part of the hinge is a tube they sell for railing posts. Mac
