Reply:they are both top notch machines....neither one will let you down......do you need the auto set capabilities? if not dont spend the money for it.....performance wise they are equal. maybe let the wallet and best buy make the decesion. i was looking at these and a good buy presented it itself on a Hobart Handler 190 and i grabbed it. one step back from these machines will still give you what you are looking for.do you have 220 in the garage already? if not the MVP 110/220 option lets you buy up and use it now.where in central Jersey? we moved away from the shore a couple of yrs ago....i miss itLast edited by 37ford4dr; 12-30-2011 at 11:37 AM.bobs77vet/37ford4drEastwood digital TIG200HH190Lincoln Invertec 155sLincoln weldpak 100sears/craftsman (lincoln) 50a 240v buzz boxO/A rig Harris gaugesnexion cut 50 dxchicago electric (HF) 240v spot welder

Reply:got it, we were north at gsp 98. if you have the 220 you may never need the mvp 110/220 option that is available, i guess my point is the options are what drive up the cost of the welders, that was why when i got a good deal on the 220v only HH190 i grabbed it. there is no reason not to go up and get more bells and whistles if the pockets are deep enough.....i used my left over change and bought a plasma cutter. bobbobs77vet/37ford4drEastwood digital TIG200HH190Lincoln Invertec 155sLincoln weldpak 100sears/craftsman (lincoln) 50a 240v buzz boxO/A rig Harris gaugesnexion cut 50 dxchicago electric (HF) 240v spot welder
Reply:since Miller and Hobart are the same company, I'd assume the two are the same apart from some bells and whistles on the Miller.
