Not a welding question but I do need some professional advice:I have a #3 acetylene tank that was cranked open to ~40CFH for a little over an hour. when I got back to it, the top half of the tank had frost on it and the regulator read 0psi. (air temp was high 40's low 50's)I fully accept any and all ridicule for not knowing about the 1/7th (now 1/10th?) flow rate rule. Everything I can find on the internet says not to set the flow that high or "bad things happen"...but I can't find any info on what to do with the tank after that's happened.Have I lost the acetone in the tank?Is my regulator likely shot?Is the tank now dangerous (more dangerous than before?)The one safety guy I've talked to said "eh...it's probably just empty, should be fine"Any advice is appreciated

Reply:The cylinder is probably just plain empty but I would think that the regulator would need to be tested and evaluated with the amount of acetone that was flowing. I'm curious as to why anyone would ever need more than 10 psi of acetylene anyway.Miller Millermatic 252Miller Syncrowave 200Liincoln AC-DC 225Victor O-A Set
