After a couple weeks of trying to attach the sprayer tank to my yard wagon, I came up with the idea to make a removeable rack to attach to my Cub Cadet LT1045.  I added a wiring harness and a new switch permanently to the tractor (with a quick disconnect to unplug the tanks pump when needed). Made it from scrap 1/2" angle and 12 Gauge mild steel.  WORKS GREAT!!  Thought I would share it here. Attached Images

Reply:Surprisingly no, I thought it would be too.  Of course, I also have not needed to fill the tank to its total 15 gallon capacity either.  I'll need to look at that and add weights if needed.
Reply:why add weight? Learn to drive her on two wheels. You'll be the bad *** of the neighborhood. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:I have 'wheelied' a lawn tractor.  Unintentionally.Pucker-factor there.  Suggestion to put some front-end weights on that.  At 8 (8.3 to two decimal places), water weight adds up pretty fast.  At just 10 gallons in that tank, you have put ~85 lbs (not counting the tank and frame weight) hanging off the back end of the lawn tractor.More excuse for welding up a frame/tray for the front-end to put some weight up there.    The best laid schemes ... Gang oft agley ...
Reply:To counter that weight, you should make a front rack to hold a pony keg, with a tap located directly over the cup holder.Drink as you spray, and the weights will stay balanced the whole time. You didn't build that.'85 Miller AEAD-200LE
Reply:I agree with the keg idea, just make a box so you can pack ice around it and keep it cool.
Reply:HA!  According to the neighbors kid, I'm already bas *** because of my "shooting" toys.  Little does he know, I got the Bushmaster .50 to control the boys around my daughter.  I like the pony keg idea.  I can add chemicals to the unwanted grass while adding chemicals to myself.  As long as I remember which nozzle to fill my cup from, I'll be fine.Since I didn't need to spray the driveway this weekend, I filled the tank full of water.  No wheelies, but I do need to build a weight rack if I want to fill the tank completely.  According to my handy dandy spring scale, it only takes 46 lbs of force to do a wheelie when the tank is full.  I will be addressing that issue this week/weekend when I have an hour or two free.  I have a couple of hills that will NOT be nice to me if I end up doing a wheelie at the wrong time.  Better safe than sorry in this case.Last edited by rwmccormack; 09-10-2012 at 02:32 PM.
Reply:Just adde a wheelie bar to the removeable rack.As for the Boy deterent, I find that polishing your shovel will work better than cleaning your gun. granted the gun or a large knife/machette should be in plain sight to get the point across. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
