Hey guys I have been drawing in the free month autocad dealio. anyways I can not import new font styles like you can with the full version and I am just stumped to this point on figuring out another way to do it. So I am wondering if anyone wouldmind lending a hand and copy paist the font and put it into a dxf file so I can put it into my drawing? I know some people out there have software that you can import and trace the font with, or maybe you know how to get special font into cad quickly. I know im asking a good bit but for someone who has a CNC can do this in minuteswith the right software. if you can help please let me know asap! after I get the font right I will get it cut and weld it up this weekend hopefully.... Then pictures will follow so I will not be in the wrong for posting in the welding projects & pics!
Reply:Download inkscape. It's a free vector imaging program. It's sort of a highly advanced version of ms paint. Reply:I think I got it. I saved it as a TTF file on my mac and then I was able to open it in cad. it didnt work last night but it did today? idk maybe the give you a different function every day haha. for a free month trial on a $4k software I cant believe everything you can do unlocked, they only thing locked so far that I have seen is dimmensioning and leader lines. but I just printed the prints then handwrote the messurements and leader lines. hopefully this works I will keep this thread updated. and with photos!
