Hey guys I am trying to get a small trickle of air out of my nitrogen tank. I bought a Smith 30-450-580 regulator but it doesn't control the air flow at all. Would I be better off with a flowmeter or something else? Thanks
Reply:I think your gas supplier would be a good choice to ask that question. Go visit with them and explain what you are doing and trim to accomplish. I would think you would need a regulator and a flow meter.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Reply:Add a flow meter to the regulator and you will get the results that you are looking for. A regulator controls the pressure and the flow meter cobtols the flow at that reduced pressure.CharleyMiller MM252Miller Bobcat 225NTMiller DialArc HF / DIY Cooler2 Victor O/A TorchsetsMilwaukee 8" Metal SawMilwaukee Dry Cut "Chop" Saw 5 Ton Wallace Gantry Various Grinders, Benders, etc.

Reply:A Victor 0781-0004 is a CGA 580 with a delivery range of 2-15 psi.The one you have is a 0-450 psi.
