Hi, I lurk here a bit and did a bit of searching but im looking for a rough guess on slope setting. I usualy run my cobramatic 3A off my Big 40, CV, Remote contactor, panel V control. The TB55 has Minimum, Medium and Max on the slope and 4 voltage ranges, 18-25, 21-35, 26-42- 34-55. This would be much easier if my Big 40 had A/V gagues, but it does not. anyways the material to be welded is 6061 1/4" channel to 5/16" plate the filler will be 5043 or 6061 .045Any V/A suggestions would be appreciated, I rarley setup to do alu mig, mostly tig it, this project doesnt have to be pretty and theres about 1200-1500' of weld gut feeling that would be a long ride with gtaw. Reason im not using the big 40 is its on another job doing tig ss.Miller Big 40GMiller HF-251 D High FreqVictor OA Lincoln 135 MigMK 3A CobramaticBridgeport J HeadCronatron OxylanceRadnor ACAG TorchWeldcraft TIG Torches1 blown knee and two 5 Gallon pails away from being a hero.
