OK to use an O2 quick connect on low pressure side of MIG flowmeter?

I use my Lincoln SP 135 in the field a lot for little repairs, and it would b nice if the flowmeter was easier/faster to hook/unhook. I have several extra new sets of QC's I got at an estate sale cheap.
Reply:Lot of guys use them. I have seen them leak far too often, so won't use those. I have a high pressure Aeroquip QD that I use. They have orings and wipers and are much less likely to leak, or disconnect on accident. I put mine right at the outlet of the reg. the other nice thing about the high end QDs is the check valve in the male end. No gas loss, and never any dust in the line.

Reply:I have used regular air hose fittings on my argon / Helium tig set up for years now with no problems whatsoever.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Yeah, I use a 3/8 T style connection on my Lincoln MIG and TIG.  You might have to get some thread adaptors too to go from female to female on the machine.  1/4" air hose fitting most likely won't work since they are smaller which means you will have to get a thread adaptor and screw on more reducers to be able to use 1/4 fittings.
