350 p drive roll ?????

well i did some trading and got a xr aluma pro push pull gun. well nobody in town has u drive rollers so i need to order some in the mean time i got a roll of 035 4043 anyone ever ran aluminum with the V rollers would it work for a test run or will it be an exercise in futility 350P 30A spool gun cut master 51  syncro 250 other stuff " take a dog off the street and make him prosper and he will not bite you sad the same cannot be said for man" i didnt use punctuation just to piss you off
Reply:I've run a couple of large rolls of 5356, which is slightly stiffer, thru my machine at work using the V rolls and a cobra push/pull with no probs. I wouldn't like to say what the 4043 will feed like but I'd give it a go Remember to back off the two drive rolls to <1 when you start......Mike
Reply:Might work with a push-pull gun. I think you're going to get //some// hangups. I've never even attempted to run 035 4043 with anything but a spool gun.You're going to get some wire-shaving, especially with that soft 4043.  Might be good to pull out the liner and blow it out with compressed air before the end of the day.
Reply:it will chew it up and create all kinds of feeding issues. I think that the shavings it would create will chew up the liner really fast. The .035 wire is really temperamental. small issues will make it not work.
