I was given two brand new torches. One is an Airco 700 handle with a 4790 cutting attachment and the brazing attachment. The other set-up is an Oxweld W-17 torch with CW-23 cutting attachment. All things being equal, I need to buy a couple torch tips (bent tip for bolt removal and a larger brazing tip plus a couple heating tips) for either the Oxweld or the Airco. Which one would you use or go with? Is one really any better than the other? Or is this another debate of a Chevy truck vs the world?thanks...bob
Reply:Personally I'd go with the Oxweld. I have both style cutting equipment and I like the Oxweld cutting tips better and they're cheaper to buy. Be sure and check out ebay for old stock tips which seem to work better for either torch.Millermatic 252XMT 304'sDynasty 280DXHypertherm PowerMax 1250Miller Trailblazer 302 EFIOptima PulserXR feeder and XR Edge gun and more athttp://members.dslextreme.com/users/waynecook/index.htm
