The gutter of this corner of the house is the only one that runs off above ground. No one wants someone to trip over, so a bridge is needed!0.75" 0.12" square tube is rolled with a HF roller using the 0.75" square dies from SWAG.For the 0.75" round tube, the HF supplied 1" round dies were used. With a span of 42", its not exactly the largest bridgeDry fit the planksand stained:and inspected by Kendy, the cat:Thanks for looking!
Reply:Am I the only one that thinks that bridge makes that cat look HUGE!? nice work. I like it. though, it seems like an pretty steep ramp up. but it's what? two steps? barely worth worrying about. There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:A hand-hewn stone arch would have been classier, but good rocks are hard to come by these days.  Nice color on that kitty."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder

Reply:Thanks for your comments!Yes, it looks like a big cat! But the bridge is tiny and has only a 39" span and not 42" (42" was actually the length of the tubing before rolled).I rolled a 8ft piece of 3/4" square for the full length and cut it in half, and then cut off the straight ends that were not rolled. Its a very simple design. Did the same for the round tube and the 1.5" flat bar that holds the planks. For the finish, I brushed two coats of stain on and the wiped it off with a cloth to get the finish.

Reply:Right, a GGPB, a Garden Gnome Passenger Bridge I have some more pictures from my setup:The welding table is from Strong Hand Tools, Model NOMAD.The HF roller is mounted on a simple cart I use for fabrication. The large drawer was a left over from a kitchen remodel and I couldn't throw it away; so it found a good purpose I think. The large drawer handle is made from 20g sheet to allow to grab it easily with gloves on.These are the 0.75" square dies from SWAG offroad.
