I am new to welding and to this forum. I have been reading a bunch of stuff and generally just soaking it all in. I read somewhere that somebody made a portable belt sander stand as an alternative to a messy chop saw. I HATE using the chop saw. It's loud, messy and very inaccurate. So I picked up a harbor freight portable saw and spend some quality time with the welder and made a very useful stand. It's not a professional job but it works really well. For being the 3rd or 4th project (crooked welding cart--doing it over for my Miller211) a welding table and a bumper repair) it turned out ok. Anyway, thanks for the ideas.
