What is your opinion of the 450 Harris regulators? I am needing a new set. I have only run victor, but the lws has a set of Harris that is crazy cheap comparison wise. Also, what is your opinion of the Victor Cutskill 350 series regulators? I have never used any of the cutskills series. They are even cheaper than the Harris.

Reply:Can't comment on the 450 specifically, but every Harris regulator I've seen/used was top grade rugged stuff. The Harris gauge-less models are one of my favorites. If the 450 is a Harris USA product, I'd bet on it.Good Luck
Reply:Victor Cutskill is an import brand. If you look closely it's Cutskill *by* Victor. Even Victor itself has now offshored its production.Harris regs are top quality. Go for it.
Reply:thanks yall I will pick the harris up monday if they still have them.
Reply:Scott,Can't speak directly to that model Harris, but I have an old set (ox/ace) of Craftsman 2 Stage regulators (made for Sears by Harris) that have been great. Like I said, I've had them probably 30 years and never had them rebuilt and they hold pressure as good today as the day I bought them. Not quite as big a fan of their torches. The torch handle for the set I bought never really fit my hands right. Have used the Smith torch handles for years now.Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc. |
