Reply:Originally Posted by Gerry1964Wow if its your first time then your gonna have a lot of customers in the next few years have a look on google at metal patinas, They are chemical finishes for metalwork which would make your roses look lovely, take a peek here http://www.sculptnouveau.com/You could do the stem dark brown and the Rose in Red, how cool would that be.Brilliant work i bet whoever you give one too will absolutely love it
Reply:Originally Posted by TIGger305Wow!!!!...I'm really liking the finishes!!! I appreciate u pointing me in that direction. I'll see how the next one goes and figure out what to do from there as to if I want to make more. The most time consuming part is cutting the pieces out.
Reply:Very nice. They do sell premade kits to do these if you want. A second option would be to do a good drawing of all the pieces and then take it to a shop that does CNC plasma cutting and have then cut all the pieces out. Most programs can nest parts so you get the most out of say a 1/2 sheet or full sheet. If you aren't in a rush, and the guys do a lot of sheet work, you can also see if they will run your parts on "scrap" from another job when they do the cutting. Depending on what needs to be cut, they might be able to fit a few flowers in the "waste" between the parts to be cut for the other customer and cut you a break on the materials..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:those do look great, sis you draw all the pieces?  And DSW you mentioned kits, where can those be found.  I was thinking about finding someone local to cnc some, really like the postes out come.

Reply:Ron several companies sell the kits. Reply:If you need someone to cut them out let me know. I can draw up a full 4X10 sheet of steel and if you don't mind doing the cleanup yourself, (removing a bit of cross and cleaning off the rust from the water table) it should take about 30-45 seconds with a grinder and flapwheel. I'll cut them at $160 a sheet. I'm guessing you could get about 24-36 complete sets at a minimum per sheet. I can do 24 guage, or even a little thicker with 20 guageOffering CNC Plasma cutting and welding projects.Follow me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/nobigdeal.fabSupport those that support WW.
Reply:I use the same approach to building mine. My wife makes wedding cakes and many of the templates for flowers translate perfectly to sheet metal, right down to the proper sequence to fold the petals in. Looks great! If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:I gotta try that.  I really like it.(Retired) Professional firefighter, amateur everything else I try to do...Oh yeah:  Go Big Red!   (You know: one of the 12 members of the Big 10 cuz we left the 10 members of the Big 12...)
Reply:if you look at  http://www.piehtoolco.com/contents/en-us/p10379.html it even has what size each piece is download the pattern pic and take to your friendly cut they should be able to work it from there nice flower by the wayCreative metal Creative metal Facebook

Reply:How about some Nuts?  I drop a ball bearing in these and hang a few on a string for that jingle bell effect.  There is no pattern for the leaves should you want to make a branch.  I just free hand the leaves from the photo.  Have fun!
