What is the best way to connect brass to stainless? It is for water piping.

Reply:It is kind of a custom application that a customer wants. He has some goofy valves that he wants us to use and they need to be hooked to a stainless header. They are a sweat valve that is made to have 7/8 copper soldiered into them but he wants no copper. It is going into a 1 1/2 sch 40 ss piece of pipe and it is in a really tight spot. If I could use copper I would soldier the copper into the valve and tig the copper to the header with a2 bronze. I was thinking sliding the end of the valve just inside the header and silver soldiering it, just didn't know if there was a better way.
